It is hard to believe that we are planning the second Eye Ball, for Saturday, November 15, 2008.  The Eye Ball, A Gala with Vision, is soon to be one of the most prestigious black-tie fundraising galas in Tampa. Our inaugural Ball, held last November, brought together ophthalmic specialists and surgeons, business and community leaders, and loyal friends to foster the sight-saving and life-enhancing work of the Lions Eye Institute Foundation. 

People are the focus of the Lions Eye Institute Foundation. In 2005, the Foundation was established to support outreach, education, treatment and research of sight-related issues. First and foremost, our goal is to assure that any person who needs sight-saving/sight-restoring surgery will have access to that care, regardless of their ability to pay. Equally, for those whose sight medical miracles cannot restore, we fund programs that will enhance the quality of their lives.
